Our Story
It all started with a Zoom video-call set up by our sweet families. A ‘Hi nice to meet you but I’ll leave it at that’ conversation ended with the potential to go the distance. Two individuals from different family backgrounds, upbringings and life experiences, but similar in more ways than one, were brought together.
Each passing day with a genuine desire to get to know each other, we talked (and talked, and talked some more). Our initial 'Hi, nice to meet you' turned into 'hello, I think I might be falling for you! Little did we know, the Perfect Matchmaker (aka God) was secretly working behind the scenes to bring us together, doing a work that was beyond the natural in each of our hearts. Ours is a story penned by the good and faithful God who does marvellous things too inexplicable for our minds to comprehend.
Conversations progressed, glances became sparks and pleasantries were replaced with intentional efforts to be honest, open and genuine with each other. Despite being in different countries, time zones, and all that jazz, our love continued to grow. The Perfect Matchmaker was not just joining two individuals but two families who shared the love for God (and good food).
We realized that our accolades and achievements or things we said to impress each other were not the foundation of our relationship but the work that the Lord did in us.
Now, as we prepare to tie the knot, we're excited to start this new chapter together. Our prayer and desire is that we love each other intentionally (yes, even with laundry and kitchen) with Christ-like love. A Love that stands the test of time, is patient, kind, not boastful, not proud, not self-seeking and does not keep a record of wrongs. As we step into this sacred covenant of marriage, with Christ at the centre, we look forward with great expectation. Every moment—every challenge and joy — has drawn us closer, and now, we’re ready to begin the next chapter.
So, join us as we celebrate our love and make it official! There will be laughter, tears, and some good food. But most importantly, there will be love.
