Guest statistics

Understand the counters under your guest list — sides, confirmed, pending, meals, staff and invitations.

Under the guest list, a few counters keep track of your numbers. They change as soon as you edit the list, and a counter with nothing to count is hidden.

The counters: Ratio by sides 4/3, Wedding party 7, Total guests 5, Confirmed 6, Canceled 1, women and men, three main courses and Staff 1

What each counter means

  • Ratio by sides — the bride and her side’s guests / the groom and his side’s guests.
  • Wedding party — the couple and everyone on the list (All attendees in projects for other events).
  • Total guests — the guests on the list, without the couple.
  • Confirmed — the couple and the guests coming to the ceremony and the reception. Confirmed ceremony and Confirmed reception count those coming to only one of them.
  • Pending and Canceled — guests who haven’t answered and guests who declined.
  • The women and men figures — the couple and everyone who confirmed any part of the day.
  • The main course icons — how many of each dish, for the guests who confirmed and the couple.
  • Staff — the people working at the event, counted apart from the guests, with their own meals.

How many invitations to order

Hover the question mark next to Wedding party in the Two sides or Full table view. Besides an explanation of each counter, it tells you how many invitations to buy: one for each family and one for each guest without a family.

Tips and important notes

  • Put households into families to get the right number of invitations — see Families and households.
  • The exported PDF and Excel files end with a summary of the counts — see Export your guest list to PDF or Excel.
