Main course options

Set the main courses on your menu and choose one for each guest.

List the main courses your caterer offers, then choose one for each guest — or let guests choose it on your wedding website.

Step by step

  1. Step 1Open the main course options

Open Settings → Main course options above the guest list. The window lists your main courses: drag them to change the order, click the bin to delete one.

The Manage main course window: Fish, Beef and Vegetarian with their icons, and the Add main course button
  2. Step 2Add a main course

Click Add main course, type the dish (up to 45 characters), pick an icon under Choose icon — Show more icons shows them all — and click Add.

The Add main course window with the icons: avocado, kebab, chicken, crab, fish, meat, shrimp, soup, pasta, a child’s face and Roman numerals
  3. Step 3Choose a meal for each guest

In a guest’s profile, choose the dish in Main course. In the Full table view you can do it in the Main course column.

  4. Step 4Or let guests choose

On your wedding website, add a question with the dishes to the RSVP form and connect it to the main course under Where should responses be saved? — see Set up your RSVP form.

Where the meals show up

  • Under the guest list: how many of each dish. Only guests who confirmed are counted, plus the couple.
  • On the seating chart’s Catering view and in its Catering layout page — see Download your seating chart as a PDF.
  • On the place cards, as an icon next to the name — see Place cards.
  • In the exported guest list.

Tips and important notes

  • The icons include a carrot and an avocado for vegetarian and vegan dishes, a child’s face for kids’ meals, and Roman numerals for numbered courses.
  • Deleting a main course removes it from every guest who had it.
  • Staff can have a main course too; their meals are counted separately from the guests’.
