Keyboard shortcuts in the seating chart editor
Undo, add tables, duplicate and zoom from the keyboard.
The list is in the editor: click the ⌘ button at the top (Hotkeys).
The shortcuts
- Ctrl+Z — undo; Ctrl+Shift+Z — redo.
- Ctrl+R — a round table; Ctrl+T — a long table; Ctrl+E — an ellipse table; Ctrl+H — a row of chairs.
- Ctrl+W — a wall; Ctrl+P — a pillar; Ctrl+L — a label.
- Ctrl+D — duplicate the selection; Ctrl+Backspace — delete it.
- Ctrl++ and Ctrl+- — zoom in and out (the mouse wheel zooms too).
- Ctrl+Esc — leave the editor.
Selecting several elements
Hold Shift and click elements, or hold Shift and drag over an empty area.
Tips and important notes
- On a Mac these shortcuts use the Control key. Undo, redo and zoom also work with ⌘.
- In browsers on Windows and Linux, Ctrl+T and Ctrl+W are the browser’s own (a new tab, closing the tab) — add those elements with Add element instead.
- Adding a table with a shortcut follows the same free plan limits as Add element.
