Dietary restrictions and allergies

Note allergies and special diets for each guest and pass them on to the caterer.

Every guest’s profile has a Dietary restrictions field for allergies and special diets — “nut allergy”, “gluten-free”, “no pork”. It is free text, up to 255 characters.

Step by step

  1. Step 1Write it down

Open the guest’s profile (click the figure next to the name) and fill in Dietary restrictions. In the Full table view you can type it straight into the column.

  2. Step 2Make a meal for a diet

If several guests need the same dish — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free — add it as a main course, so the caterer gets the count. See Main course options.

  3. Step 3Ask your guests

Add the Dietary restrictions question to the RSVP form on your wedding website. Its answer goes into this field once you apply the response — see Review RSVP responses.

  4. Step 4Give it to the caterer

The field is in the exported guest list, and the seating chart’s Export settings can add a Dietary restrictions page to the PDF, so the caterer knows who sits where — see Download your seating chart as a PDF.

Tips and important notes

  • For dishes that need special care, you can add a main course with a Roman numeral icon.
  • Staff have the same field in their profile.
