  3. Seat your guests

Seat your guests

Click a seat and pick a guest, or drag guests onto tables and seats.

Your guest list is already connected to the chart. You choose a seat and a guest — or drag the guest there.

Step by step

  1. Step 1Select a seat

In the editor, click a seat (the small numbered circle next to a table). The panel on the right shows the table and seat number and Vacant seat, with the guests who don’t have a seat yet below.

Table 1, seat 1 selected: Vacant seat, Release seat, Hide this seat from layout and the list of guests without a seat with their RSVP status
  2. Step 2Choose who sits there

Click a guest in the list. The panel now says Occupied by: with the guest’s name, and the guest appears on the chart. The list can be narrowed to Ceremony and reception confirmed, Ceremony confirmed or Reception confirmed guests.

The seat is now Occupied by Emma Wilson
  3. Step 3Or drag and drop

Drag a guest from the list onto any seat or table. Drag a guest onto a seat that is taken to swap the two guests.

Tips and important notes

  • With no seat selected, the next guests to seat stand at the right edge of the plan — drag them straight onto a table.
  • Release seat frees the selected seat; Hide this seat from layout removes a seat you don’t need from the chart.
  • Someone missing? Add a guest quickly adds a guest without leaving the editor.
  • Seat everyone in one go with automatic seating, then fine-tune by dragging.
