The seating chart editor
Add tables and decor, arrange the room and set how names and colours look on the chart.
The editor shows the room as a plan. Everything you change is saved automatically, and everyone in the project sees it at once.

The buttons at the top
- Close — back to the chart’s preview.
- Seating / Catering — names or meals on the seats (reception charts).
- Start new layout — start over from a ready-made starter template or an empty room.
- File — New, Seat guests automatically, Download PDF file, Add custom SVG (your own venue plan) and History (earlier versions and backups).
- Add element — tables, chairs and decor.
Add tables and decor
Click Add element. Tables with seats has the long, square, round, ellipse, half-round and curved tables and the Row of Chairs; Tables without seats for buffet has tables without seats; below them are walls, doors, a dance area, a stage, signs, plants and more. A new element appears in the middle of the plan.

Arrange the room
- Click an element to select it; its settings — size, number of seats, rotation, colours — open on the right.
- Drag an element to move it; use its handles to resize and rotate it.
- Hold Shift and click elements — or hold Shift and drag over an empty area — to select several at once.
- Right-click an element to duplicate it, delete it or move it to the front or back.
- Undo with Ctrl+Z (⌘+Z on a Mac); redo with Shift as well.
How the chart looks
With nothing selected, the right panel shows Layout settings: how guests’ names are written and turned, coloured or simple person icons, the fonts, the colours, the paper size and orientation, and Continuous numbering.
Tips and important notes
- To seat guests, click a seat — see Seat your guests.
- On the free plan a chart can have up to 5 tables and, on a reception chart, 3 rows of chairs — see Free plan limits.
