RSVP statuses

Mark who is coming — to the ceremony, the reception or both — and who declined.

Every guest has an RSVP status — the small sign to the left of their name.

The statuses

  • Status not set — you haven’t asked yet.
  • Pending — invited, waiting for an answer.
  • Only ceremony — coming to the ceremony only.
  • Only reception — coming to the reception only.
  • Confirmed both — coming to both.
  • Canceled — not coming.
RSVP settings: Separate ceremony & reception switched on, and the six statuses with their signs

Change a status

  • Click the sign next to the guest’s name and pick a status.
  • Or choose it in the guest’s profile under RSVP status, or in the RSVP column of the Full table view.
  • Answers from your wedding website set the status once you apply them — see Review RSVP responses.

One event or two

If your ceremony and reception are one event, open Settings → RSVP settings and turn off Separate ceremony & reception. The statuses become Status not set, Pending, Confirmed and Canceled.

More events: a rehearsal dinner, a brunch

In RSVP settings, click Add new event, type the event’s name and click Add event. Every guest gets a separate status for it — Status not set, Pending, Confirmed or Canceled — in their profile and as a column in the Full table view.

Tips and important notes

  • The counters under the list add up the statuses — see Guest statistics.
  • The export can include only the guests with a given status — see Export your guest list to PDF or Excel.
  • Guests who declined are never seated by the automatic seating.
